This unit was developed with the help of Whitney Irons and the guys at Matrix Desalination, who manufacture some of the finest watermakers available. Basically, it takes your over-board discharge, (salt concentrate), and routes it into a hose for you to hook up to your WetSpot Softener or Water Processor. It then has a another fitting that allows the water to go back into your overboard line for disposal, which gives you the opportunity to recharge the unit inside of your engine room, pump room, etc., with no waste water running inside the boat, or in the cockpit. It has been set up to work with a 3/4" discharge line, which we have found to be the most popular, however, adapting it up or down is very simple.
Normal installation time should be less than 10 minutes!
